01 About YiYe关于伊叶
YiYe Arts Academy was founded in Richmond in 2022 by Chinese dance artist Fiona Yi. Our classes go beyond steps and splits — students learn the freedom of the Mongolian grasslands, the lightness of the Dai people's parasols and the gentle lyricism of Jasmine Flower.
Technique is taught with discipline; culture is taught with curiosity. Under one roof, children and adults explore dance, painting and the Chinese language — and find the confidence to share them on stage.
伊叶艺术学院由中国舞艺术家叶佳（Fiona Yi）老师于 2022 年在列治文创办。在这里，舞蹈不只是基本功与技巧——孩子们在蒙古舞中感受草原的辽阔奔放，在傣族伞舞中体会温婉灵动，在《茉莉花》里领略江南的清雅柔美。
我们以严格的训练打牢基础，以好奇心认识文化。在同一个屋檐下，孩子与成人学员可以学习舞蹈、美术与中文，并自信地走上舞台。

02 Founder创始人
Founder · Chinese Dance Teacher 伊叶艺术学院创始人 · 中国舞教师
Raised in Shanghai in a dancing family — her mother, once a professional dancer, is now a veteran children's dance educator — Fiona fell in love with Chinese dance as a young child.
成长于上海的舞蹈之家，母亲曾是一位专业舞蹈演员，现为资深少儿舞蹈教育家；自幼学习中国舞，一接触便深深爱上。
Won first place at a national dance competition in Beijing, then began teaching Chinese dance part-time while still in school.
赴北京参加全国舞蹈比赛荣获冠军；此后一边求学，一边兼职教授中国舞。
Moved to Vancouver to study Art Education at the University of British Columbia.
来到加拿大，就读于英属哥伦比亚大学（UBC）艺术教育专业。
Founded YiYe Arts Academy to carry Chinese dance — and the history, culture and artistry behind it — forward to a new generation.
创办伊叶艺术学院并亲自授课，致力于中国舞及其背后历史、文化与艺术的发展与传承。
Fiona wasn't born with a dancer's flexibility — the splits came through patient, daily work. It's the belief she brings to every class: talent is where you start; persistence is what transforms you.
叶老师坦言自己并非天生“骨骼清奇”，一字马等动作都靠后天苦练而来。这也是她带进每一堂课的信念：天赋只是起点，坚持才能蜕变。

Classical and folk Chinese dance, from foundations to the stage. Students build flexibility, strength and posture through basic training, then learn expressive repertoire drawn from China's many dance traditions — and perform it at galas and competitions.
从基本功到舞台表演，系统学习中国古典舞与民族民间舞。通过基训打造柔韧、力量与体态，再学习源自各民族舞蹈传统的剧目，并登上晚会与比赛舞台。

High-energy choreography to today's K-pop hits, taught for kids. Rhythm, coordination and stage confidence — built together as a team.
跟随当下热门 K-pop 音乐学习编舞，在团队中培养节奏感、协调性与舞台自信。

Drawing and painting with patient guidance — from first little animals to complete, layered works, with a confident sense of colour.
在耐心引导下学习绘画：从简单的小动物到完整的作品，学会色彩搭配，让画面更有层次。

Weekday afternoons from 3:30 PM, children are cared for in a creative space — with painting and dance woven into their day.
工作日下午 3:30 起，孩子在充满艺术氛围的环境中安心度过课后时光，绘画与舞蹈自然融入其中。

04 On Stage舞台风采
Alone in the light, our young dancers carry a whole piece — Tibetan, Dunhuang, folk and character dance — at competitions including the TAOLI World Dance Competition in Vancouver.
独自站在聚光灯下，完整演绎一支舞——藏族舞、敦煌舞、民族民间舞与童趣角色舞。伊叶学员的身影，出现在温哥华 TAOLI 世界舞蹈大赛等赛场。

Yes. Our dancers have performed at community galas and taken part in events such as the Small Golden Bell Dance Contest (Overseas Division) and the New Prague Dance Festival.
